National University of Misiones (UNM or UNaM). Public University of Argentina. It provides undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate training in its academic structures and activities are carried out in six Faculties and two schools.

Foundation

It was founded by law 20,286 of April 16, 1973, as part of the Taquini plan, the higher education reorganization program that would lead to the foundation of Jujuy, La Pampa, Lomas de Zamora, Entre Ríos, Luján, Catamarca., Salta, San Juan, San Luis and Santiago del Estero. From this, its creation was promoted from a resizing of the National University of the Northeast (UNNE).

Among its main functions is to advise on the definition of academic objectives and the orientation of academic management, project the policies of said management in relation to the evolution of knowledge, means and the needs that are manifested in the region..

The National University of Misiones, through its academic units and institutes, trains human resources capable of implementing research, development and innovation programs and projects aimed at improving the academic excellence of their careers and consequently the quality of life of the society in which they work. insert.

Human Resources training programs take into account the relationships between the organization and the development context, which allows management to have a comprehensive view of the process. Currently, this point includes the administration of the Incentive Program, as well as the management of undergraduate and postgraduate scholarships financed with its own resources and through participation in programs of national and international organizations.

The promotion of research programs and projects. The SGCyT works to carry out integration tasks between the research carried out within the university and its transfer to society. This includes the development of own calls for the financing of projects, the participation in external financing programs mainly promoted by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Productive Innovation and other national and international organizations, projects that are managed by UNaMTEC through its Project Management Unit (UAP).
