Because through this program the scholarship seeks to promote the development of the countries, you must have a full-time position related to development at the time of applying for the scholarship. You must also be in good health and have a bachelor’s degree (or its equivalent) awarded at least 3 years before the application deadline. Also, you must not be a member or close relative by blood or adoption of any member of the World Bank group. Likewise, you must have the letter of acceptance to the program of your choice before or on the scholarship application deadline and you must be unconditional, except for the financing, since the letter is sent before submitting your application.

As explained before, the application process for preferred programs and partner programs are different. Therefore, if you plan to apply to a preferred program, you will have to meet all the requirements described above and an online application; The latter will consist of two letters of recommendation and the completion of an application form. In the form you will access the conditions of the scholarship and you must include scanned copies of a document that shows that you meet the work requirement related to development and time working, the most advanced university and postgraduate degree if applicable, CV written in English or in the language of the program to which it was applied, and a letter of unconditional admission. Once this application process has been completed, you should receive an email confirming that your application form has been submitted and received.

However, if you are interested in one or more partner programs, you must apply to each of them. After receiving applications, each of the partner master’s programs will identify eligible scholarship candidates and will receive an invitation to apply for the scholarship.

On the other hand, the benefits that this scholarship offers are air travel in economy class at the beginning of the program and at the end of the scholarship between the country of origin and the country where the studies will be carried out, a subsidy of US $ 500 for each trip, tuition for the program, cost of basic medical insurance provided by the university, and monthly living expenses as long as the fellow is on campus. Said benefits will be granted for the entire duration of the program or 2 years, depending on which is the lesser. However, they are complementary, so if you are a semi-finalist or a recipient of the scholarship, you will have to inform if you have other sources of financial support .
